Bill Hickey began his career in the United States Army as a private. He was quickly promoted to First Sergeant. After serving in the Army for some time, Bill joined the workforce in corporate America. His leadership abilities soon became apparent, and he was promptly promoted to an executive. Working hard to learn and fill his leadership role, Bill decided he was destined for more.

He left corporate America in 1972 and began building Bill Hickey & Associates from the ground up. The company had several successes in its first year. He began hiring employees and added its first manager, Mary Jo Garvey, in 1973. From there the company steadily grew, adding clients and hiring accountants. The firm's growth continued to accelerate at a faster pace than anticipated. In 2002, the firm moved to larger offices in Orland Park, Illinois.

Today we serve clients in the general Chicago area, Indiana, and several other states across the country. Our expertise includes general ledger accounting, taxes, consulting, and facilitating capital events. Our company's outstanding service to customers has earned us awards and, most importantly, loyalty from our ever-expanding list of clientele.
